Five years and three children later, however, and it's a place only to be ventured when you're psychologically up to the non-stop attention. And physically ready to fend off too-adoring fans. After a trip there, I come home, lock my door, and enjoy being left. alone.Sherwood familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13147895345679709682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624978.post-43514360691048425402010-06-01T22:21:56.632-04:002010-06-01T22:21:56.632-04:00Oh my God that attitude with the Africans was horr...Oh my God that attitude with the Africans was horrible... I can't say I'm surprised... There's a certain amount of envy that is spreading among Egyptian men towards African nations which 1) Have been making it to the world cup -despite of Egyptian dominance in African soccer- for the past 20 years 2) Have recently made plans to take up more shares of the Nile, thus threatening the main source of life for all Egyptians. Neither are reasons for that horrible behavior... Like any miserable person, treating others from poor nations inferiorly gives a pathologically satisfying feeling of superiority to this miserable person. I'm desperately clinging to the 1% hope that you misunderstood the entire situation though... it's quite an uncommon behavior, as opposed to what you might see in certain red states...

The attention your girls are getting is SO SO SO SO EXPECTED. Are you kidding? I would easily predict my mother, sister, and all my friends to behave the same way on seeing them. They are SO ADORABLE!

I can't believe your final days in Egypt are approaching already...TareXhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06481767746378425352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624978.post-68807956879489505092010-06-01T18:01:41.909-04:002010-06-01T18:01:41.909-04:00We took Espen to San Francisco last month, and it ...We took Espen to San Francisco last month, and it was surprising to me how much more attention he got there than here. People kept coming up to us to say hi and ask questions and tell us how cute he was. that happens here too, but definitely not as much. I guess that there are just so many babies here in Utah that people don't really notice them.Tamsinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11855378389431295310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624978.post-54927799411801668912010-06-01T17:44:00.540-04:002010-06-01T17:44:00.540-04:00Well, your girls are quite adorable, so maybe they...Well, your girls are quite adorable, so maybe they will get that much attention in the States. ;-)J.noreply@blogger.com
