Face Lift

The Mother's Lounge got a face lift. Andrew and I just finished designing it about an hour ago. We happen to think it's beautiful.

Perhaps we're a little strange, but every time we finish a project we stare at it. If it's a book (or even a page in a book) we print it as a PDF and stare at it. And leave in on our desktop so we can open it up and stare at it again. And send it to each other so that we can compliment each other.

If it's a web page, we open it up every time we get on our browser and "ooh" and "aah." This lasts for about a week, or until whenever it begins to seem commonplace.

Right now, I have The Mother's Lounge open. It looks very...bright and happy. It makes me kind of want to do our own blog over again.

Perhaps we're prideful, but I think of it more as being "well pleased." Kind of like how we stare at Rachel. She's cute, she's new, she does cool stuff. We're not really proud of her...just happy that she's sharing her life with us.

It's the same thing with our designing, only not quite so emotionally charged.

  1. I say that your update is cool... however, the psychologist in me tells me that you're trying to compensate for the fact that you wrote a whole blog on poop complete with pictures...

  2. Hey guys...
Sorry to interrupt your ooohing and awing, but I thought I'd tell you I, too, enjoy the updated blog design. I can't even recall what it used to look like. I especially love the cheerios. They are the perfect touch!
