She's too cute

I really need to stop taking pictures of Rachel all day, every day. I don't need to document every bath or every time she stands up. I don't need a hundred and fifty pictures to document everyday of her life. But she's just too cute! Maybe I do need those hundred and fifty pictures just to fuel my addiction of her.

She's become so active in the tub that she comes out of the tub looking like a half-drowned rat. I can't take my eyes off of her for a second because I never know when she's going to flip over onto her tummy and try to pick up a toy with her mouth, inhaling as she goes. I tried explaining to her that she can't really do that but she keeps trying to anyway and comes up coughing and sputtering.

She also likes to try to scoop water up with her stacking toys--unfortunately for her there are holes in the bottom of all of them so when she tries to take a drink the cup is already empty. She satisfied her thirst by sucking water out of her washcloth and toy fish. Gross, I know. Perhaps I should have offered her a cup of fresh water, but I'm not sure she would have taken it anyway. She's been rather...self sufficient...these days.

Rachel loves showering so much that she isn't afraid to put her head under the water faucet. In fact, she crawled right over to it and kept sticking her face in it, all on her own accord.

She stayed in playing so long this time that the water got too cold and she cried. She cried louder when I tried to take her out, though, so I drained some of the water and put some more hot water in and we splashed around for a few more minutes. Such a silly water baby!

  2. she really is too cute and her pictures just might take up all of your hard drive space on your computer!

also, it doesn't get any easier (to handle all the cuteness, I mean) as they get older....they just keep doing cuter things...well I guess until they turn 13 or something...then it can get ugly.
