When we're helping we're happy

Grandma, Rachel, and I made some squares this morning for the fireside this evening. Rachel was so excited to get to help stir! She loves helping--and has recently actually started being a useful helper! She helps set and clear the table by carrying dishes back and forth from the kitchen to the dining room. Obviously we don't use glass dishes.

Helping makes her so happy!

She had a hard time letting the chocolate chunks be stirred into the batter, as did I. I used up some of the yummy Swiss white chocolate that Karen brought from Austria. It was sad to see it going into the cookies and not into my mouth. Rachel was stirring when we put them in and she let go of the spoon to try to grab a piece out. In the end she decided that stirring was just as fun as eating chocolate.

Rachel also likes to help put her clothes away and clean up her toys (sometimes). She's getting to be such a big girl and a great helper!
