When we would laugh too loud, it would set her off, and she was in the front carrier strapped to Julie the whole time, so she really was safe! It is a good thing kids outgrow that, or I would have six grown people attached to me all the time!Myrnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06450610418971329885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624978.post-20794971396866811272008-10-09T14:48:00.000-04:002008-10-09T14:48:00.000-04:00Yeah guys, I'm not that bad of a husband and fathe...Yeah guys, I'm not that bad of a husband and father. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624978.post-62334119791242022102008-10-09T14:11:00.000-04:002008-10-09T14:11:00.000-04:00And just another plug for Andrew's sake:When we go...And just another plug for Andrew's sake:

When we go out walking with the stroller, Andrew does everything. He usually pushes the stroller and carries a backpack while I hold absolutely nothing.

And if I go out by myself during the day, I just leave the stroller at the bottom of the stairs and have him carry it up when he gets home.

He's cool like that.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08631734965938273438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624978.post-24610069371377283182008-10-09T14:08:00.000-04:002008-10-09T14:08:00.000-04:00BTW, the carrier is a piece of material that I bou...BTW, the carrier is a piece of material that I bought 50% off at Hancock Fabrics. I think it's like 16 feet long or something like that. I tie it using the instructions found at Moby Wrap.

Basically it is a Moby Wrap, except that it cost like $8 instead of like $40.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08631734965938273438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624978.post-39664447288253690842008-10-09T14:05:00.000-04:002008-10-09T14:05:00.000-04:00Come on, guys! And since it was "scary," we knew she'd want me.

We play this chasing game where we charge at her while growling. Andrew can actually chase her, but I can't because she always runs to me and throws her arms around my neck.

In short: If Daddy scares Rachel, Rachel wants Mommy. If something other than Daddy scares Rachel, Rachel wants Mommy. If Mommy scares Rachel, Rachel wants Mommy.

We're working on that...Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08631734965938273438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624978.post-83625961757217819722008-10-09T13:57:00.000-04:002008-10-09T13:57:00.000-04:00Yeah, I too was severely unimpressed by Andrew's c...Yeah, I too was severely unimpressed by Andrew's carrying and husbanding skills, so thanks for clarifying that :) Also, thanks for posting photos of everywhere you go - it warms an Art History student's heart :)Tamsinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11855378389431295310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624978.post-28971504636951025122008-10-09T13:43:00.000-04:002008-10-09T13:43:00.000-04:00Ahhh.....I was going to ask what Andrew was up to....Ahhh.....I was going to ask what Andrew was up to...but Heather already did....Has he introduced her to the shoulder rides? She prefers me to carry her when we go out and if we do let her walk, she prefers to hold my hand.

She totally fakes Andrew out all the time though. She'll be like, "Oh, here Daddy, I'll hold your hand...just kidding!" Or could Andrew with his muscles have been slightly more useful by carrying her down and up the stairs in the pyramid, since it does you in? And let you carry the camera? My immediate guess is that Rachel just simply won't have any of it! I wonder if she would have liked walking up and down the stairs on her own... but the pyramid people wouldn't have like that much. I also find it ironic and intriguing that in a country where you aren't supposed to talk about death for fear of the evil eye, their biggest tourist attractions (both in terms of popularity and size) are huge tombs. Odd, isn't it...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
