Sometimes it just can't be helped.<br /><br />And I'm happy to hear you've survived GD eight times, Daphne—it's actually not as bad as I thought...my blood sugar levels haven't been high at all when I've been testing at home.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08631734965938273438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624978.post-71733457304665162912012-05-22T11:58:56.569-04:002012-05-22T11:58:56.569-04:00So sorry to hear, Nancy. I think they are just magnified and lengthened when I am! I know in my heart and mind that I am really just fine and things will be okay, but just the same, I'm gonna cry!Mary Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14319598307762930342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624978.post-11876853397672231312012-05-20T12:03:24.197-04:002012-05-20T12:03:24.197-04:00Nancy, I had gestational diabetes with 8 of my 9 p...Nancy, I had gestational diabetes with 8 of my 9 pregnancies. I controlled it with diet and exercise. One thing I recommend is eating several small meals a day to keep your glucose levels steady rather than the rise/fall of normal eating. I had to do those horrid glucose challenge tests too. The most gaggy stuff ever invented, if you want my opinion!! And since I have lousy veins, getting the blood drawn every hour resulted in huge bruises. I looked like someone took a bat to me after I was done. Glad that those days are behind me! Even after all those gestational diabetic pregnancies, I am free and clear.Daphnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01923163822931570147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624978.post-69357163888331040632012-05-19T12:55:51.589-04:002012-05-19T12:55:51.589-04:00So sorry to read about your problems, Nancy. So great that you chose to take the test.<br />"Courage"!Mammodouy's Storieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08292086864997652597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624978.post-59759810503412942362012-05-17T16:52:47.384-04:002012-05-17T16:52:47.384-04:00You're so much tougher than I am. I can't imagine 100 years ago suffering from something you don't know how to fix because you don't know what it is. That was a messy sentence. Sorry. Anyway, hang in there.MOMsterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07302754110600227455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624978.post-39215175803661458642012-05-17T16:03:05.545-04:002012-05-17T16:03:05.545-04:00What a bummer! There are certain tests I decline (like, I declined amniocentesis for Rachel when they found abnormal cysts on her brain) because the outcome of the test wouldn't change a thing about what I'm doing. With this, though, it's fairly easily treatable so I suppose I'm grateful for the nasty drink if it means I'll have a healthier baby and better delivery.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08631734965938273438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624978.post-18780354771879361332012-05-17T01:25:18.082-04:002012-05-17T01:25:18.082-04:00Ugg.
