I had the stomach flu two years ago, too! Weird!<br /><br />We tried to have him suck on a wet cloth, too, but he wasn't having it, which is why I tried the ice, which he also wasn't a fan of (which probably explains the swelling). I actually had a frenec...Yikes that looks painful! I actually had a frenectonomy before I got braces but they actually left part of it and then later I got hit in the face and the part that was left tore :-/. Probably just easier to have it out of the way :). When my kids are bleeding I always just take a wash cloth and put it under cold water and tell them to suck on it. They are much more receptive to that then ice and it usually keeps their blood off the floor. Hope his poor little face and teeth end up ok :(.
