Six-Seven

We can't escape from "six seven" recently!

For the record, it's a "thing" kids these days are saying. It means...nothing...like, possibly it means "mid," but mostly it just means nothing. But if the numbers 6 and 7 come up consecutively (which given their spot in the number line happens a lot) the kids all chant, "Six seeeeeeeeven!"

That's the bit.

So, Andrew went to Indianapolis and parked in the long-term parking at the airport. Guess what his spot number was? Lot 8 number...67!

He went out for dinner (got a bacon cheeseburger, apparently). And what was his call number? 67!

When they called out his number they sang it over the microphone, "Order six seeeeeeven!"

We made paper stars for the ward party—finally finished gluing them all together in the hours between church and choir practice. We put them on poles to make their transportation easier (we're stashing stuff in an unused classroom in the church building—it doesn't have a window, so I don't think we can actually use if as a classroom although it technically once was one...so no one is ever scheduled to be in there and...we can't keep all this stuff in our house). Anyway, we counted up the stars when we were all finished and you're not going to believe this but there were...67!

The kids have their hands like that because in addition to singing "six seeeeeven!" there's this little hand gesture like someone is weighing two things in their palms, so you lift them up and down while you sing. They had a comfy ride to the church.

And here's Miriam carrying in 30 of her stars:

In our choir music the sopranos got in a little bit of trouble for rushing through a fermata (on a sight read through the music...our music chair can be a little...intense...sometimes). But we pointed out that we didn't have a fermata there so it's not like we were being malicious. But since the accompanist and the men's line had a fermata we were told to pencil it in (which, I mean, we're not arguing against that...just against the injustice of being chastised for not singing the music right when...yes, we had no fermata...we had no fermata today). So I was helping my younger kids all find where to pencil in that fermata. And...oh, no!

Oh, yes.

Measure...67!
