More haiku moments

1) That time (yesterday) I very nearly stepped on this tiny frog that was sitting on our driveway.

Small piece of gravel
hopped away from my foot fall—
camouflaged frog

2) That time Phoebe begged me to hold her on the big, comfy chair, and then asked if I would softly read to her...not a story, just whatever I was reading—which was "Voices of displacement: a methodology of sound portraits exploring identity and belonging" by Baker, Sonn, and Meyer (2020). So I did read it to her and she fell asleep for a much-needed nap.

Whispered research findings—
an alternative lullaby
on the napping chair.

3) This great kid.

Golden hair so warm
snowflakes dissolve on contact—
eternal sunshine
