At Rosie's House

One of the best parts about Rosie's house (according to the little kids, at least) is that it is brand new, so brand new that the rest of the neighbourhood is still being put up right in Rosie's backyard!

Finding a good spot at the window to watch the construction vehicles was a favourite past time.

Phoebe was also excited when she happened upon construction vehicles up close and personal. Once on a hike:

And once was in the backyard (it was so loud):

The kids were also excited for a firetruck to pass by us (and honk its horn) on two separate walks!

There are some wetland preservation areas in the neighbourhood and the ducks are making the best of it. Here's Phoebe chasing them down into the water saying, "Here duckie, duckie! I'm not going to hurt you! I'm just going to catch you for dinner..."

We went for a lot of walks, which my kids thought was particularly fun because we always took Flynn along. They all fought about who got to hold his leash. In this picture it was obviously either Alexander or Benjamin (not pictured):

And here's Phoebe having a turn:

Here's Kelli taking a break from playing while Ireland and Oaklyn trace her feet:

Kelli and I were in charge of all the kids and dinner on Wednesday evening because Rosie had an appointment, which Austin went to with her. We made individual pizzas with the kids and then Kelli thought the kids should experience cupcakes baked in ice cream cones. They really enjoyed decorating their cupcakes:

Phoebe loved exploring Ireland and Oaklyn's toys and they were really very good at sharing. The boys really liked the shape cushions that they have (things like this), but they got pretty rough with them, building forts and fighting over them. And Rosie's house was quite echo-y because they'd just moved in and things were still on boxes, nothing on the wall. It could get pretty loud inside.

But here's Phoebe enjoying some dress up pieces while we were having scriptures and prayer in the toy room (while Ireland and Oaklyn were being put to bed):

And here she is passed out a little later:

She slept on the floor beside the air mattress that Miriam and I shared. She did a great job staying dry while we were there, but I brought along some puppy pee pads to put underneath her...just in case.

Here are our farewell pictures:

I had Benjamin hop up to take a picture with me in it and he spent most of his time doing this:

Though he did eventually remember that he was supposed to take a picture of us:

And here's Alexander and Ireland hugging (kind of) before we loaded into the van:
