Where's my pants?! (part 4, I think)

Andrew packed a suitcase the night before he left. He never worries about these things very far in advance. He's just...a very confident packer.

He landed in DC and...I don't know at what point he noticed, but it was after he got to his hotel room and was going to freshen up before heading to an important everyone-else-was-wearing-suits dinner.

"Guess who forgot *~*~*~pants~*~*~*" he texted.

This was news was incredible! We have such a rich history of DC and...forgetting pants.

And now here it is, 2025 and he forgot to pack pants for DC.

Everyone needed to know about this.

So I quickly told everyone.

"Tell him he should buy quilted women's pants," Rachel quipped.

Because the jacket he bought to replace the coat he'd forgotten turned out to be a woman's jacket. We looked it up and thought it was a man's jacket...but later realized that the zipper was on the, uh, woman's side. And...anyway...we ended up getting rid of the jacket, I think.

We've gotten rid of a lot of winter stuff out here.

The kids have been joking about pants the whole time he was gone.

So when he arrived (at midnight), Phoebe said (because she was up), "I can't believe you just wore no pants all day!"

"I wore pants!" he said. "I wore these pants."

"Alexander told me you forgot to pack pants."

"I did! But I was wearing pants. So I just had to wear the same pants the whole trip."

"Oh."

"Were you just imaging me walking around the city without any pants on at all?"

"Yes..." she giggled, and then started laughing her little head off (and coughing...because she's croupy).

"I had pants on!" he said. "I just forgot to put any in my suitcase. So I had to wear my travel pants to the conference. Everyone else had on suits and things and I...I wore a shirt and tie with these pants."

They're not terrible pants. They're just...clearly casual.

"It's like you thought you were going to a Zoom meeting or something. Like, 'Pardon my pants. I thought this session was going to be online...'" I said.

Anyway, he's home once more where he can change his pants at his leisure!

See also: Where's my pants? Where's my pants? (Again) and Where's my pants?! because apparently this title never gets old...and we have serious issues keeping track of pants.

Oh, and let's not forgot the time Andrew forgot an entire suit!
