I am actually not sure which of my children painted this, but I found it on the credenza and thought it was adorable:
My guess is that it was Alexander, since he's having the most trouble with remember which side of the paper to work from when writing Arabic (we've been learning both Arabic and Cyrillic to help improve our penmanship in English since my children are too fluent (or something) to care about English penmanship...and yet could stand to care a little bit more about penmanship, in my opinion).
It could have also been Zoë.
Those two have been painting up a storm lately. Zoë got a new set of water colours for Christmas and it has some sparkly paint pots and...she loves it. Anyway...
I thought this painting was particularly cute because the artist wrote out the Arabic alphabet but from left to right, which is...wrong. It should go from right to left.
But then at the bottom they wrote out "Happy Valentine's Day" in English, working from right to left...which is backwards...perhaps to make up for their initial mistake?
